Powerful Inspiring Songs (Life Changers)

Ok, I made a top 10 list (In no particular order) of really powerful Christian songs that change lives when they are listened to, if you need a life change and inspire others to express their love for Christ. Of course, I have hundreds more powerful songs ( that I will be sharing in the future) that I love as well but I am shining a light on these 10 because they are the first ones to come to my mind. I explained why I love each song and what the song is about. If you never heard of any of them I advise checking them all out. They are very powerful songs!

1.) “Where I Belong” By Building 429

(I love this song because they sing about not being of this world and wanting to be with Jesus.)

2.) “Stronger Than You Think” By Fireflight

(I love this song because she is telling the devil to leave her alone because she will not fall for his lies anymore and she will overcome her pain and depression through the love of Jesus.)

3.) “Redeemed” By Big Daddy Weave

(I love this song because it’s a heartfelt song where he sings about how Jesus forgives our sins and it sets us free, giving us room to love ourselves again.)

4.) “Parent Me” By Json

(I love this Christian rap song because it tackles the the subject of parental neglect and how it can effect the emotional development and the spiritual walk of children.)

5.) “I’m Sorry” By Flyleaf

(I love this song because it talks about forgiving and sympathizing with someone who has abused you and finally healing from it.)

6. “Believe” By The Letter Black

(I love this song because it’s a emotional cry out to God about how no matter what you are going through trust in Him will get you through it all!)

7.) “Fading Away” By Demon Hunter

(I love this song because it’s so powerful. It’s about slowly fading into depression and self-hate because of a tragic life-style leading you to finally get sick of the hell that the life is putting you through and crying out to God to help you change your fate and forgive you of your sins.)

8.) “Jesus Freak” By DCTalk

(I love this classic song because it’s a cry out to the world that you are not ashamed to love Jesus out loud and for all the world to see and you will never hide it!)

9.) “He’s Coming Back” By B-SHOC

(This is a powerful Christian rap about how Jesus is coming back and you better be ready because it’s going to be either heaven or hell for your soul.)

10.) “Rise Up” By Disciple

(I love this song because it’s a hard-core scream out to the world telling all Christians to rise up and stand as one for God!”)

Give up Mainstream and Choose God.

With all the beautiful Christian artists we have today of every genre and style, what excuse does a Christian has for listening to secular/mainstream artists. We are to live for God in all we say, do, listen to and watch. As Christians we are not to love the world and their worldly ways.

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in them.” (1 John 2:15)

In the mainstream world, they talk about God as little as possible, they sell sex, glorify and worship each other, talk about drugs, alcohol, idolizing boys that dance good, they are obsessed with fame, fortune and looking attractive to the opposite sex and so many other abominations.

“Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery and magic, witchcraft, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-21)

Mainstream is for those who want to partially follow God here and there and still sin without repentance and for those who don’t follow Him at all and could care less. Either way it’s not pleasing to God.

“For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.” (1 John 2:16)

I use to try to justify the mainstream world as a kid because I was brainwashed into obsessing over so many mainstream artists. I would say “Well she dresses like that on stage but she is not like that in real life.” or “He just said that curse world in the song to really get his point across because that’s just what rockers do.” Then my love for God started to grow more and more and those excuses and justifications started to sound stupid and ridiculous and also it was against God.

“He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the Lord.” (Proverbs 17:15)

Do you really think God would take those excuses? As I got older and grew closer to God, the wool was taken off my eyes and I realized all the Godlessness I was condoning and being ok with in the music world. I let go of all mainstream artists years ago and only listen to Christian artists now, and whoa do I have a lot to choose from. I mostly listen to Christian Rock/Metal and Praise & Worship but there is also Christian R&B, Christian Rap, Christian Pop, Gospel, and Contemporary Christian. I did the same with television shows. I really only watch the Christian channels most of the time and a few clean kid cartoons. There is little to none to choose from in the world of entertainment when you take your Christianity seriously.
