I Don’t Follow Religion

I don’t follow religion;
I follow the bible.
I don’t follow religion;
I follow Christ.
Christianity is not a religion;
it’s a relationship with our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
Christianity is not a religion;
it’s the definition of a person who chooses to follow Christ.
Follow Christ not religion.
Man made religion, and added their man-made rules.
God made Christ, and the bible gives us the real rules.
Christianity is not a religion;
It’s a way of life, and when we follow it, it leads to heaven’s light.
And if you live your life without Christ,
there is no meaning and there is no life.

Christianity Is Not A Religion!

If get your medical degree, you are a doctor. If you love to paint, you are a Painter. If you love to sing, then you are a Singer. If you believe that Jesus died for the sins of man-kind, and honor our one true God with all your heart, then you are a Christian. And the title of Christianity comes before any other title you get in life. Christianity is not a religion. All who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and His teachings, are Christians, all over the world, no matter what religion you choose to be a part of, and no matter what culture or ethnicity etc…, because Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is not defined as a religion because it is not a religion. If you follow Jesus and His teachings, then you are defined as a “Christian,” just as you would be defined as a “Civil Rights Activist” if you followed the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King. Society tries to jumble Christianity with man-made religions, but Christianity is not a religion. It’s a title. It’s a title you are given when you follow Christ. It is the name of all who choose to follow Christ and “His Teachings.” Religion is enforced by those in power in an attempt to maintain, increase, or (sometimes) abuse their power over others. Religion is the creation of Man and is not the intention or design of God. Religion was made by men and society. God made Christ, and whoever believes that Jesus is Lord is a Christian by definition. In some religions, they make up their own rules which are not even in the bible and were never thought or told to the people by Jesus. Christianity is the title that is suppose to unite all who believe in Christ and “His Teachings.” Religion separates us. It is alright to be a part of a religion if you put Christ and “His Teachings” first above the practices of your religion. You are a Christian first, and your religion or what ever else you title yourself in life comes second. It goes before all titles you choose to call yourself in life. Power men of the world and society made religion. Our one true God made Christ. A Christian is someone who follows Christ. If you don’t follow Christ, then you are not a Christian. It’s as simple as that.

My sister and I had a good discussion about religion and how sometimes religion blinds people from the bible. Being a Believer in the All Mighty God means following the rules He gave us in the bible. Religious groups like Baptist, Catholic Jewish, Evangelist and so on, sometimes make up their own rules that are not even in the bible and that can often mislead and misinform some people. I am not against religion but you can’t fully rely on it. You must rely on God and His words written for us in the bible. You got to follow God not religion, and to that you must follow His rules in the bible.

Crying Out to God
1 Samuel 7:7-9

When we face a crisis, the Lord is willing and able to help. But before He will become involved and release His divine energy into our situation, He requires one thing: a righteous heart.

This, of course, is not an expectation that we live perfect lives, which our Father knows would be impossible. When a sinner turns to God for salvation, He cleanses the heart of iniquity and gives that person a new nature (2 Cor. 5:17). Yet even believers will follow old “flesh” patterns at times, so the Lord calls us to confess and repent when we miss the mark. Then He will “cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Thankfully, He hears us in our imperfection as long as we desire to walk in His way. The problem arises, however, when a Christian knowingly lives in sin and chooses not to turn from it—the Lord will not hear an unrepentant heart.

The heavenly Father also desires that His children cry out to Him (Ps. 34:15-17). During trials, we tend to pray this way, with increased focus, passion, and sincerity. Hannah is a good example. Heartbroken over her barrenness, she went to the temple and beseeched the Lord with such emotion that the priest thought she was drunk! God answered her plea and opened her womb (1 Sam. 1:1-20).

When a crisis comes, cry out to our almighty God, but be sure you do so with a righteous heart. Then He will hear and answer—either fulfilling your hoped-for request or providing a different solution. Because He is omniscient, loving, and sovereign, you can fully trust that His answer is in your best interest.

Where are the guys that love the Lord?

Nothings more attractive than a guy who’s passionate about God. Who praises Him with all his heart, and isn’t afraid to show it.

Going to Church Does Not Make You Christian

Going to church does not make you Christian/Believer in Christ. Anyone can go to a building and sit in it for a hour or two. You have to prove your beliefs through action by following the bible’s rules given to us by God. You can’t just label yourself a Christian/Believer in Christ and do nothing to prove it. That makes you a false prophet. Example - If you watch a racist/black comedy/sacrilegious show like Family Guy and still call yourself Christian ( and proclaim that you want to be a minister) then, you need a reality check! Shows like this are against God, religion, peace, and purity. So what does that make you if you watch them. and yes this post was brought by thinking about a certain Facebook Friend.
