How Healthy Are You?
I hope this helps someone out there. If i just inspire one person to care about their health, then I have accomplished a great deal! I tend to go on from time to time about health and it’s something I will never shut up about because it’s just as important as a relationship with God and they actually go hand in hand because God told us to treat our bodies as a temple. I feel that God encouraged me to share this health rant, so let me get to the point. I’m writing this because I feel I must correct a friend on the moderation conversation we had the other day. It’s true, if one decides to eat artificial, scientific, drug injected, questionable foods made by scientists, it’s best to do it in moderation. But the down side to that is no matter how little you eat of these unnatural things, it will still cause some damage to the brain, skin, heart, blood, reproductive organs, and all other organs in the body. So yes, it is definitely at your best interest to eat these things as less as you possibly can. It is also to your best interest to incorporate fresh organic foods into your life. And no one can give me the price excuse about natural foods because there are a few organic natural foods at the store that are very cheap. Organic carrots, cabbage, lettuce, and broccoli run between $1-$2.50 at the Kroger grocery store for example. And for breakfast organic oatmeal is very cheap. Some organic dinner items that are cheap are organic rice, Annie’s organic mac-n-cheese, and organic veggie burgers. And if you want to snack here and there, there are a wide variety of organic, natural, chemical-free snacks on the market as well. I have found that organic potato chips, organic fruit leather/roll-ups, and organic granola bars are pretty cheap. And there is always the choice of growing your own stuff if you have a backyard (just make sure the seeds and the soil you buy are all organic.) You will have some self-pride, get good exercise, and feel accomplished, and you will never have to buy seeds again once you buy them the first time because after that your crops will produce more seeds for you to use the next year. But back to the point. Our bodies were meant to and built to take in vital amounts of natural vitamins, minerals, and nutrients to survive. Your daily vitamin C, vitamin A, iron, fiber, calcium, protein, and B-Vitamin intake is very important and you should have some idea of the percentage you are taking in of each on a daily basis. Your vitamin C and vitamin A levels should be well over 100% daily due to eating the right amount of fresh fruits and veggies and taking a organic whole-food non-synthetic vitamin supplement preferably in powder form. Taking a organic whole-food supplement daily ensures that you take in all your daily nutrients along with eating your fruits and veggies. You got to take the natural steps daily to reaching your proper vitamin intake because vitamin and mineral deficiency can cause a lot of problems for your body. All of the natural vitamins and nutrients our bodies need to survive and be heathy are found in fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains, beans, and of course natural chemical-free, hormone-free, free-range meats like chicken, fish, beef, eggs, and lamb, but our bodies are naturally built to go without meat so, meat doesn’t necessarily need to be in anyone’s diet, it’s just a pleasure thing, but if you eat meat, it is best to go natural, organic and unprocessed. It’s a little pricy but diseases are way more expensive. But like I said, you don’t really need to eat meat to take in your protein. Your body works properly and more efficiently off the protein, fiber and natural fats from beans, nuts, grains, and natural oils like olive oil and coconut oil. And it’s a cheaper way to get in your protein. And the same goes for calcium. You don’t have to drink animal milk to get your calcium. Soy milk, Almond milk, Spinach, kale, okra, mustard greens, turnip greens, cabbage, broccoli, raw almonds, dates, green soybeans, and sesame seeds are excellent sources of calcium. Did you know that there are fruits, veggies and nuts out there that can cure/kill many kinds of virus’s and reverse the effects of many known diseases. Eating fresh coconut and fresh pineapple daily can kill many virus’s (colds, infections, herpes, the flu…..) and harmful parasites present in the body and prevent more from forming. Turmeric, kale, garlic, and flax has been known to prevent cancer, and fight and treat present cancerous cells. And there are many other fruits, veggies and nuts that have the same powerful effect on the body. God made the garden of Eden for a reason! He wanted man to till the soil, plant his food and live off the land. Just because Adam and Eve were kicked out of the garden, doesn’t mean that the way God wants us to take care of our bodies died. It’s still the same then, yesterday and today. If you choose not to incorporate natural (God-made, naturally grown) foods in your diet daily, then your body is seriously lacking the nutrients it needs for good health and will slowly deteriorate. And If you choose to eat the unnatural scientific things, no matter how little, your body still need a healing time to detoxify these unnatural things you are putting in your blood and organs or it will lead to diseases and severe problems in the long run that will interrupt or prevent your quality of life. Eating scientific things is unnatural and your body will never get use to it. Your body will just keep fighting everyday to keep you alive the best it can until it gives out. and the reason I’m writing this is because I don’t want your body to give out at a young age. The 21 day organic raw food diet challenge every 6 months is the best way to naturally detoxify the body so that the chemicals from these unnatural foods will not cause damage and disease. Now doing this all year round would be the best for all of us but I know that would be torture to some of you, so I hope you all at least think about doing it for 3 weeks every 6 months. This is not about weight or size because there are many people out there at a healthy weight that never eat fruits or veggies and eat choose to only eat unnatural things in moderation, and they are sick as a dog, lacking energy, always tired, have health problems, and just feel crappy everyday. This is because their bodies are begging for nutrition. Vitamins and proper nutrition keeps us happy, energetic, and healthy. Now, of course it’s still very unhealthy and life-threatening to be morbidly overweight or obese as well. So, diet and exercise is needed to get to a healthy size for your height and body type to prevent illness, diseases, conditions, and disability. At any rate, if you are suffering from vitamin and mineral deficiency, you will always feel tired, you will always have some health related thing going on with you (weather big or small), you will always have some sort of ache or pain, and these things will just get worse as you age and may shorten your life. Now what kind of life is that when all you have to do to be active, healthy, happy, and pain-free is to make sure you intake the proper amount of vitamins and nutrients daily with healthy natural foods, get in the proper amount of clean water (usually a half gallon or more daily), do at least 30 minutes of physical exercise for a good healthy heart (this doesn’t include work did at a job, it must be separate consistent cardiovascular exercise for 30 minutes or more. Walking is the best one for those of you who can’t do high impact exercises) Also it is severely important that you get your 8 hours of sleep at night to ensure a healthy heart, a good amount of time to allow the body to repair itself, also the sleep is needed to ensure that your body produces a healthy amount of white blood cells, and to ensure a healthy production of melatonin (which is produced in the body at night while we sleep). Why is sleeping at night so important? Well, People who stay up late excessively and graveyard shift workers have a higher risk for breast and colon cancer. Researchers believe this link is caused by differing levels of melatonin in people who are exposed to light at night. Light exposure reduces the level of melatonin, a hormone that both makes us sleepy and is thought to protect against cancer. Melatonin appears to suppress the growth of tumors. At night be sure that your bedroom is completely pitch dark to help your body produce the proper amount of melatonin it needs to prevent cancer and other problems. Turn off lights, computers, TV’s and anything else producing light. This could be the difference between you living a cancer-free life. I hope this has helped you all some what.
