Make God your whole life. Surround yourself in holiness.

We were called to set ourselves apart from the world. We are to help the world get closer to God. We were called to love people, and be there for them, but we are not to be a part of the world. We are suppose to stand out as Christians, and have no part of the worlds ways.

Material Things Mean Nothing To Me.

Material things mean nothing to me. The love of JESUS CHRIST is worth more than all the money, gold, and material possessions on the planet.

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils.” (1 Timothy 6:10)

“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26)

It saddens me that people love material things, games, and people and characters more than God. I find it depressing and disturbing when I see people obsess over people, celebrities, and earthly possessions. When I was young I struggled with obsession but as I grew older and got closer to God, obsession became an abomination to me. The only thing I’ve been focused on these past years is God. But there are people out there who have not grown in the spirit yet and still struggle with obsession of people, fictional characters, and processions, and some Christians are in denial and refuse to sit back and truly take a look at their lives because they love these things so much and never want to let them go. Most people find it hard not to be obsessed with money, items, media, loved ones, and even fictional characters for some people (ugh).

“For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world.” (1 John 2:16)

But if you spend time thinking about these things more than strengthening your relationship with God, then the love of God is not in you.

“Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in them.” (1 John 2:15)

You got to fix this, if this is the case in your life. You must reexamine your life and rid it of idol worship over people and things. God must come first in our lives. Never forget that God is a jealous God and nothing and no one should come before Him.

“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” (Matthew 6:24)

We were called to be “Not of this World” (John 15:19)

Belief is not enough.

It’s not enough to believe in God. Even the devil believes in God. In order to receive God’s grace, you must give your life to Christ, and ask Him to come into your heart and be Lord of your life. You must walk the path of righteousness, and when you mess up, you must repent. You must pray and build up your faith so that it gets stronger everyday. The only way to God is through Christ. These things are important and are the only ways to receive God’s blessings and protection and the reward of heaven in the afterlife.

No one in your life should be more important than God is in your life. God before people!

I’m so proud of my mom. She told me that she totally agrees with everything I told her about Halloween and will no longer be passing out candy or participating in it in any way. She also told me that she has been passing around the bible verses I gave her to friends:) Praise God!
